ICDS - International Clostridium difficile Symposium

Clostridium difficile infection (CDI) is the leading cause of healthcare associated disease in many developed nations worldwide, where the emergence of so-called “hyper-virulent” strains has compounded an already serious problem. The dramatic increase in prevalence at the turn of this century led to the establishment in Slovenia of a specific scientific forum (“International Clostridium difficile Symposium” - IDCS) at which the latest developments in the field could be reviewed and discussed.
